Overseas Student Refund Policy
All
overseas students must pay the stated fees, prior to the
issue of a Confirmation of Enrolment. These fees comprise
the first year of tuition and a registration fee. The Confirmation
of Enrolment is issued for study at this College only. This
refund policy applies to each semester enrolled at the College.
A refund
is arranged within four weeks of receiving a written claim from
the student in the following circumstances;
- If
a student's visa is refused by the Australian authorities overseas,
the amount refunded is the stated semester fees (as above),
minus an administration fee of $500
- If
a student withdraws prior to the commencement of semester classes,
the amount refunded is 80% of the tuition fee payable for the
semester, minus an administration fee of $500
- If
a student withdraws after the commencement of the semester classes
at the College course fees for the semester are non-refundable
The
following circumstances are not covered by this written agreement.
Such situations are covered by Australian Government Legislation
(Education Services for Overseas Student Act 2000 and it's regulations,
2001)
- If
the course does not commence on the agreed starting day
- If
the course ceases to be provided at any time after it starts,
but before it is completed
- If
the course is not provided in full to the student, because of
any sanctions imposed upon the registered provider.
AIAS
encourages all prospective students to read through our Policies
and Procedures documentation and our Student Handbook.
These documents can be found on this website or from Reception at
the College.
