The facilities at the College of Natural Medicine are modern and utilise the most up-to-date facilities. A State-of-the-art clinic treating hundreds of patients each month is present. What do I receive after I have paid? (Distance Education Only)

You will receive an up-to-date and comprehensive package for each subject studied. Each subject will include:
    • Subject workbooks   • Text for subject
    • Study guide   • Guide to self paced learning
    • Assignment writing guide   • Regular newsletter
    • Online student access

back to questions

Am I able to receive exemptions and recognition for prior learning from study in this course?

Yes! Providing you have undertaken and successfully completed studies at another recognised college, i.e. University, TAFE College etc, containing similar subjects to those in the College of Natural Medicine's course of your choice. You should then complete the Recognition for Prior Learning section of the enrolment form.

back to questions

When can I commence the course?

The uniqueness of Distance Education is that students can commence studies at any point in time suitable to them. You DO NOT have to wait for the beginning of a semester or term.

back to questions

Are there any additional costs?

In short 'NO!' The fees you pay for subjects include all information e.g. notes, textbooks, video tapes and audio tapes (where applicable) required for successful completion as well as marking costs incurred by the College of Natural Medicine. The fees, however DO NOT include postage costs relating to assignments to the College of Natural Medicine, nor seminars and workshops.

back to questions

Can I study from overseas?

Yes. Subjects and courses are available for students living overseas. Email facilities are available for students for easy contact to the school's administration.

back to questions

Can I change to internal study if I choose?

Yes! The College of Natural Medicine provides both Face-to-Face and Distance Education. Our students have the facility available
to undertake a combination of both styles of delivery.

back to questions

What happens if my anticipated time frame changes?

Nothing. With distance education you have far greater flexibility with your time. Indeed, if you find you have less, or even more time available than when you started your studies you are able to tailor your time frame to suit your circumstances and still complete your studies.

back to questions

What happens if I fail an exam or assignment?

If you do fail you are able to redo the examination or resubmit your assignment and it will be reassessed and remarked. This process will continue until you successfully complete the assignment for the subject.

back to questions

Can I save time and costs by studying externally?

Simply put, YES! This is possible as you do not have the rigid structure of a classroom situation, therefore you have the flexibility to work at your own pace to complete the course. The more time you have available to study, the quicker you will complete the course. In addition you lose the costs and time wasted incurred travelling to College.

back to questions

What happens if I am unable to complete the course?

You will be issued with a statement that represents the portion of study you have undertaken. If you find your circumstances do not allow you to resume studies in the future, you will not incur any additional costs for reinstatement.

back to questions

What happens when I complete my studies?

Throughout the course and after completion, the College of Natural Medicine's extensive network is available to help you with advice on most aspects of the industry. You are not left to 'fend' for yourself. The College of Natural Medicine believes that we are all on a pathway of Life Long Learning.

back to questions

Do I have to attend seminars?
(Bachelor of Naturopathy Students only)

Seminars are held in each state throughout Australia and are advertised yearly in the Institute's calendar. Should you not have a calendar, this can be requested through Administration. To achieve the full award (Bachelor of Naturopathy), students must attend the equivalent of one week of residential workshops each year. All other students may elect to attend seminars, as we believe these to be very beneficial to your successful completion of studies. Students studying abroad should contact the Institute Administrator for further details. Those students attending seminars will be required to pay an additional fee for attendance, usually $70-100 per subject.
